When first laid, Imprinted Concrete is sealed to protect it against the elements and colour loss from UV light. It is a very durable surface but needs re-sealing every 3 - 4 years to continue that protection. If this hasn't been carried out, then the surface can look 'patchy' and bare in places and 'washed out' with little of the original colour left.
